I see my printer, but can't use it
Hi folks,
I used to have Linksys routers and used DD-WRT firmware on them. Then finally fast internet speed got to me out here in the woods, and I now have 1Gb speed.
With that in mind, I went searching for a router that could handle that speed (unfortunately my Linksys was a little too old) and decided on the BE9700.
When I hooked it up and turned it on and waited for it and my computer to do what they needed to do, I took at a look at what teh router was showing me. It had the three phones, the laptop, the pad, the other two desktop computers, the Kindle reader, and the printer. I was tickled pink that it was showing everything and we could get on the 'net at such speed.
Here's where it goes bad though...on my old Linksys router it had all these things too, and I could print without doing anything special in the software of DD-WRT on that router. Now though, with this new BE9700, it sees the printer just fine, but I can't print! I have no idea what to do to make it so I can print again. It's a good laser jet printer (HP Laer Jet Pro MFP 3101fdw) and runs just fine as can be, but not with this BE9700.
Does anyone have any suggestions before I try to sell this router on eBay and hope I can get a few bucks for it?
