Where to get reliable support Edit - Solved
Update - Spectrum sent me a list of approved routers, and tp-link is not on the list. I didn't realize that was actually a thing, but the service tech and their customer service department have both said the same thing.
It doesn't work because it won't work. I wish that was the first answer from tech support and the ai chat bot, would've saved me a lot of time.
So now it's been 5 days and they still aren't working right. Just in the past hour I've lost wifi 4 times, then after a minute it comes back. But our printer stops connecting after losing connection so many times and has to be power cycled to reconnect.
I'm kind of stuck with these but I can't get any support.
The tech support phone number just goes to some guy with a really heavy accent and the call drops all the time and he can't understand me well enough to get my email address right to send me the special setup instructions for a 3 pack.
The website chat agent gives conflicting advice from the phone support, which ends up not working right.
Spectrum came out but couldn't find anything wrong with our modem but gave us a new one and we tried 5 or 6 cables. Spectrum also said tplink always has issues with spectrum.
I've screwed this whole thing up and I really just want it to work. My wife already had to take one day off work because of constantly losing connection in her office.
How do I get support on these?
I don't think we're using them wrong, Right now it's only my wife's office (hardwired) our printer (wifi) and this morning my tablet, but it's on cell data since the connection drops on wifi all the time, but I don't guess I know what to do now.
