I'm trying to upgrade my Archer C7 to the latest version of the V2 firmware (V2_160719).
Unfortunately I can't find any secure (https) links for download. Furthermore I can't find any MD5 hashes of firmware zip that would allow me to verify the authenticity of my download :(

There must be some way to securely obtain a copy of the upgraded firmware. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

www.tp-link.com/us this is official website where you can download the latest fw of C7 securely.

tp-link.com is not available via https, which means it is not safe.

I need a way to verify that the firmware i've downloaded has not been modified by a 3rd party.

Since not even the tp-link login page uses TLS, I'll assume that this company does not care at all about providing basic web security :mad:. I'll find a company that does.

It seems tplink provides http download link only.
However, the upgraded firmware works just fine as expected. And I don't think anyone has made any changes in it.
