Model : Archer C1200

Hardware Version : Version 1

Firmware Version : Archer C1200(US)_V1_160627

ISP : Comcast

I have a web sever on my LAN with a valid IPv6 address, and I want to allow the Internet HTTP access to its IPv6 address. I want to do same for IPv6 as NAT Forward / Virtual Servers for IPv4. I tried to add a Virtual Server, but I cannot enter an IPv6 address into the "Internal IP" box because the box only allows 15 characters for an IPv4 address.

Is TP-Link planning to release a new firmware version to address this issue? I bought the Archer C1200 to replace an old Linksys E3200 from 2012 which supports IPv6 port forwarding but will have to return the Archer C1200 if it does not support IPv6 port forwarding and select a different manufacturer.

Actually ipv6 addresses are sufficient and don't need to use a feature called NAT, thus don't need to open a port for the ipv6 address.
However, to prevent the ipv6 clients from any attacks on the outside network, the ipv6 firewall has been switched on by default, which will drop any packets that attempting to access the LAN ipv6 clients.

I understand that NAT is not required for IPv6, but how do I add an access rule to the firewall to allow access to HTTP (TCP port 80) for my web server's IPv6 address? It does not appear that TP Link supports this, but my old Cisco/Linksys E3200 router even supports this as shown in the image below.

Unfortunately, C1200 currently doesn't have an ipv6 firewall, thus couldn't operate like a cisco router.
However, we will propose an improvement suggestion to our product manager to estimate to add the feature.

The previous reply states that "the ipv6 firewall has been switched on by default, which will drop any packets that attempting to access the LAN ipv6 clients." So the Archer C1200 does have an IPv6 firewall but does not have a way to add IPv6 firewall access rules like the Cisco does. This is a major deficiency in the Archer C1200, and it should not be advertised that it fully supports IPv6. For now I must return the Archer 1200. Please let me know when TP-Link has corrected this issue, and I will reconsider purchasing this unit again.
