Model : c5400

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version : v2

ISP :

First want to say I understand that tp-link (my case c5400 and Archer C1200) already supports openvpn server (outside people can connect into home network). This is NOT what I want. I want the router to connect to a paid VPN service.

Why do these routers only offer L2TP and PPTP protocols but not openvpn as client? There are some VPN services that will not support L2TP and PPTP which is what I'm currently running into.

maybe the R&D department haven't considered it before. You can submit a feedback email to tp-link support.
