Hello,

I'm having a bit of trouble with my router. When I connect to the internet directly via my cable modem, my download speed is 100mbps. However, when I connect to my router--either via a wired connection or via Wi-Fi--my download speed is halved. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can fix this?

What's the hardware version of your router? Do you have the latest firmware? Do you find "NAT boost" or "Hardware NAT" on the admin interface? You can disable it since your maximum bandwidth is 100Mbps, it would not affect too much. And do you test the speed of modem and router with the same computer and cable?

Im having this problem too. My internet link is a 50MB fiber and when using via router (cable or wifi) the speed is much slower than using direct via fiber modem.
