Archer C7 can't connect to internet

Archer C7 can't connect to internet

New Archer C7 router replacing older router. C7 "see" desktop and Ooma phone device. No internet connection. Tried Tether app (android). Tether also sees Windows 10 desktop and Ooma devices.
Tried power off/on both cable modem (Spectrum broadband) and C7 - no help. Even tried using cable modem MAC id.
Re-setup old Linksys E2500 router - still works after cable modem power off/on. Anyone have any ideas?
