RE200 AC750 - Ethernet/LAN not working - Need Help

I recently set up the AC750 to work with my NETGEAR R7900P. I can successfully connect to the internet using the AC750 wifi network. The problem is I cannot connect via ethernet to the AC750. When I connect my laptop to the AC750 via ethernet, my computer will continually try to identify the network. I cannot even access the range extender web management page when connected via ethernet line. I have tried multiple ethernet cables to ensure it is not because of a faulty cable.
I originally purchased this range extender to use as a bridge for my PS4 to utilize the 5G band of my router (PS4 is only 2.4G band). The PS4 also cannot connect to the internet using an ethernet line connect to the AC750. It connects successfully when using wifi.
Both my laptop and PS4 connect to the internet via ethernet when plugged directly to the base router, so the fault is not there. The quick start guide of the extender says that after successfully connecting the extender to the base router wifi there is no extra setup needed to get ethernet connection to work. Just connect and go. Please advise. Thank you.
