Archer C3200 - wireless settings not sticking

Hardware Version :
Firmware Version : 0.9.1 0.1 v004b.0 Build 170707 Rel.58427n
ISP : Charter
I just bought the router and I tried to rename the wireless networks (2.4g/5g/5g) with different names but after I save them, it all goes back to one SSID. Before this, I tried to use the "Smart Connect" option but I decided not to. ever since I reverte back from that setting, I can't get the SSIDs to stick. Any suggestions?
my main problem is that Alexa, Roku are not able to connect.
