Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I am trying to revert my Archer C7 v5 to the manufacturer´s firmware and need the firmware package. But when downloading the zip package on https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-c7/#Firmware, in both offered versions, and after flashing I see that I have installed C20-firmware instead. To me it looks like TP-Link has simply put the wrong firmware there. Or is there something I did not see?

Hello Carl,

Thanks for your reply. I have tried both versions on that page:

https://static.tp-link.com/2018/201805/20180518/Archer%20C7(US)_V5_180425.zip
https://static.tp-link.com/2018/201803/20180327/Archer%20C7(US)_V5_180308.zip

Both contain C20 firmware for

Firmware Version:0.9.1 4.0 v0044.0 Build 161109 Rel.67956n

Hardware Version:Archer C20 v1 00000002

OK.... solution found: it never flashed or reverted to the stock firmware. And when accessing 192.168.0.1, I was directed to a C20 router in another network. Funnily, the login and pw were still standard. Someone must have resetted it. Sorry for the trouble.

@Statler

I need also revert to firmware factory because the network configuration does not work if I configure the protocol L2TP. Really appreciate some support! Thanks!
