Archer A6 V2 Router firmware bugs

In firmware versions published by TP-Link for AC1200 Archer A6 V2 routers, they present bugs that make programming and performance difficult.

Firmware detected bugs

Archer A6v2 (US) ver 1.1.4-P1 20190923-rel63745

When Channel 1 is programmed for 2.4GHz on WIFI, the router in its status does not program the selected channel but does so randomly.

The restorations, the Restarts in this version and in the recent ones in terms of time are very slow compared to the old versions of TP-LINK routers.

It lacks the MAC Filtering and replaces it with Access Control that makes it difficult to connect with mobile devices.

Security through the ARP-Binding mechanism does not automatically tie down manually registered equipment but must wait for them to connect to be able to tie the MAC address to the IP address which represents a security risk.

In general, the firmware launched for this line of routers is not reliable in terms of security control when compared to older versions of routers, it is also impractical to manage and inefficient.

The router in its Hardware structure has a lot of potential for high-speed transmissions due to its attributes (Gigabit Ports, 5 antennas and two frequency handling) but it lacks in its Software structure that it must be improved. TP-LINK is expected to launch a new firmware with the corrected bugs.
