Apparently disabling IPv6 did the job. How? Why?

My best guess is that the TV's adapter is not fully compatible with IPv6 so it was causing a conflict in the data.  Though really that should not be a problem as IPv4 and IPv6 can run concurently in most cases.

Also just a side recommendation.  As you posted your network settings including the SSID and Password I would change the credentials just to be safe.  Your IP information wasn't given so your not at any serious risk but better to always be safe.

I had same problem it worked on PC and smart phone and not on LG TV but when I disabled IPv6 in router settings it started to work.

Not sure where you are, but HBO-GO is no longer 'operational' (https://help.hbogo.com/hc/en-us). HBO MAX is the new version, at least in the US.

I use it with IPv6 using the CloudFlare IPv6 DNS's) on my iPad with no problems (HBO Max). Try using HBOMAX.COM.

HDCP is a type of copy protection. You can google it to learn more. Most likely not in play here. By chance do you have a VPN?
