Archer A6 HBO-GO Issue
Archer A6 HBO-GO Issue
Hello!
I have an issue with the up-mentioned router.
Whether it's via 5Ghz/2.4 Ghz Wi-fi or LAN, HBO-GO simply won't work(It does start, but it won't stream any movies/series) on my Smart TV (LG UM7500PLA). Others app work just fine (Netflix, Internet browser etc.) . HBO-GO does work on my PC. I have contacted my Internet Provider, they have no idea what to do, also it's not an issue from their side as HBO-GO does work when I connect to the internet via the router provided by the internet provider (its a Huawei HG8121H). I have also contacted HBO-GO Support and they have no idea how to fix this issue.
Does anyone know what should I do?
Thank you,
Alex L.

Apparently disabling IPv6 did the job. How? Why?

My best guess is that the TV's adapter is not fully compatible with IPv6 so it was causing a conflict in the data. Though really that should not be a problem as IPv4 and IPv6 can run concurently in most cases.

Also just a side recommendation. As you posted your network settings including the SSID and Password I would change the credentials just to be safe. Your IP information wasn't given so your not at any serious risk but better to always be safe.

Not sure where you are, but HBO-GO is no longer 'operational' (https://help.hbogo.com/hc/en-us). HBO MAX is the new version, at least in the US.
I use it with IPv6 using the CloudFlare IPv6 DNS's) on my iPad with no problems (HBO Max). Try using HBOMAX.COM.
