Archer C1200 USB Hard drive issues
Archer C1200 USB Hard drive issues
I have a 3TB WD My book 1140 connected to my Router. For some reason it disconnects from the Router and I have to run a "Scan" under Advanced USB settings to find the drive and then it will work again for awhile and then disconnect again.
How can I get it to stop disconnecting the drive so that it is always available on my home Network?

@ArcherC8 Thank you for the reply. I only have a Windows10 Laptop that has mapped drives to it. Also I have a nvidia shield tv that streams from it.
I do have an iPad on the same network but I do not use it to access the drives.. .could it be doing something anyway?

@Carl can you tell me how to get the log files and where should I send them?
Ok I found the "system log" under advanced settings and I saved the file. Where do I send it?

@Carl Here is the latest from this morning. The HD was not showing up in Windows file explorer so I had to do a "Scan" under Advanced, USB Settings, Device Settings. After the "Scan" completes I can click the "Light Bulb" and the first time it will show it as off but the second time it shows it as On and I can then access the drive in Windows File Explorer.

a Few quesitons from the enigneering team.
1. Is your drive a USB 3.0 or 2.0 drive?
2. Does your drive have external power? From the logs it seems the drive is not getting sufficient power and that is why it is disconnecting.
