Deco M9 Plus and Outdoor options
Deco M9 Plus and Outdoor options
I am looking for options to expand my M9 network outdoors. I already have configured 3 M9s in a mesh and I want to expand this to reach outdoors but I do not see any options for outdoor antennas that are compatible with the M9.....I want to stretch my existing mesh network. I don't want a seperate wifi just for outdoors. What are my options?

@Pat_Smith What kind of outside boxes? And what do you mean by holes? Wouldn't rain and humidity trap in in such cases? Would your TP survive it? Or actually, did it survive it, ie. is it still working?
Thanks!
Miki

Hi! When U say that Deco M9 is not for outdoor usage, what exactly means? For example, can work on a terasa, protected by sun, wind or rain and kept there only as of spring to autumn when you have at any time positive temperatures outside? Thx a lot!

@MikiM Standard white electrician boxes. I don't know any other definition of holes. My outside boxes still working great. Many 100+ F days with sun beaming all day.

@SG7 My boxes all still working great. Tropical climate year-round. Super hot sunny days, super rainy and humid days, no freezing days/nights.

@gmwestrup I've got my 9 security cameras and 3 gate/garage openers isolated on the guest network with all of them blacklisted AND the Internet on pause. I don't care who you THINK made your cameras, they almost all have back doors. The only way to prevent getting hacked is to never allow them to connect in the first place. 💯

@gmwestrup Just FYI. I also assigned all cameras to a parental control group and filtered everything. Here is just a sampling of the websites and IPs my cameras tried to access (unsuccessfully).
NEVER allow cameras to access the Internet.

Yeah, same here.
Can't understand why they didn't make the Omada outdoor unit compatiable with the Deco as well as the Omada

@MikiM I mounted M9s and M5s in a window, with a Velcro command strip, and it beams the WiFi into the yard. I am getting 30 mps even 100 feet away (when there is a clear line of sight, and that's from a satellite unit which is itself 50 feet from the main hub).
