Model: TL-WPA7510 KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Strange question, but I noticed in the instructions that came with this device that it said to not plug in upside down?  Is this a suggestion or is it really recommended?

If it is recommended, can someone tell me why???

Thanks!

@superakcraig

Hi Craig

Yes you can but there is a cavate to it.  All adapters need to be connected the same way.  The reason is if one adapter is connected in an opposite direction such as upside down it will change the polarity and can cause communication issues.  The only exclusion to this is when an outlet was installed upside down.  In this case the adapters would be the same polairty even though it looks like it is upside down.

Hope that Helps

WOW....I have used powerline adapters for years and never knew that was a thing. The funny part, I flipped one of mine around and it increased the speeds by over 20mbps. Thank You for that info!!

@Carl what if I use m3w with m9 plus unit? The m9 has power adapter which can be plugged in the wall to the left or to the right.

@Usus

This is actually about Powerline adapters.  Regular AC cords would not apply.
