The speeds look about normal given the TL-WPA4220 is a 2.4GHz signal. If your internet speed is faster then 40 Mbps, I would look at using a powerline that uses HomePlug AV2 like the TL-WPA8630 KIT. With the HomePlug AV2, it utilizes the neutral wire to help improve transfer speeds.

The 300 Mbps is the theoretical transfer rate which is the same as a router showing AC5400. In the end as far as real-world speeds you do not see that due to a variety of variables.

But i have another question what would be the differences in speed if i go for an upgrade ?

and what about the TL-wpa8635 kit? is it any better because i need an electrical plug on it and those seem to have it but my issue is if i get those i need a 3rd powerline but i couldn't find the TL-wpa8635 on its own for sale can u help me out please are there other compatible powerlines with the TL-wpa8635 searched on the tp link webite about compatibilty between the powerlines but couldn't find any info about it would be nice if u could help me out.

All environments are different so it is hard to say exactly what you will get. I have seen AV2000 powerline adapters do 200+ Mbps and also do 80 Mbps.

The TL-WPA8635 looks to be a model sold outside of the US so I am not sure about that unit. I would contact your local TP-Link support team here: link
