Hi,

I bought Archer A7 because it was supposed to have a print server. On your webside A7 model is advertised with this functionality. But it doesn't have it. So I am trying to connect to A7 router an external old DL-301U usb print server by ethernet cable and I can't ping it and display its web interface. When I connect DL-301U directly to my computer, it is OK, when I connect it to router it is not response. Where is the problem. I think that A7 blocks the connection, but I am not sure. What can I do?

The latest firmware for the A7 removed the USB print server function. In order to get it back you need to downgrade the firmware to get it back.

Before you do anything with your firmware, contact your local TP-Link support team to make sure it is done correctly so you do not end up bricking your router.

@Tony What is the latest version of the firmware that supports using the USB port for printing?

@Tony , why was the print server taken out? Will it be put back in furture firmware revision? I do not want to downgrade the firmware since it brings in fixes and I do need the print server.

@IlyaT yes we want PRINT Server back what you TP-link Guys got by removing it pls fix this issue in future firmware . or pls tell to which firmware should I downgrade to get print server
