Model: Archer A2300
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version:

Hello guys, so I've been experiencing some issues with my Wifi in my house that sometimes I even prefer to use my 4G internet. First of all I couldn't find the model in the list, the one I'm using it's the TD-W8980, Firmware 0.6.0 1.7 v000e.0 Build 140919 Rel.52176n and Hardware v1. What I've found out it's that the cable connection is completely fine, fast and stable, yet the Wifi keeps dropping, I don't think it is slow since the speed test (as you can see in the PrintScreen, the first one it's the wifi and the second one it's the cable) its just as fast as the cable one, I've tested multiple devices, Laptops and Smartphones and all of them seem to have the same problem. So my question is if there is any solution for this problem. Thank you.

There may be interference causing the wireless signal drops. Try changing the wireless channel and channel width for both the 2.4GHz and 5Ghz. Keep trying different combinations as you continue to test.

@Tony Thanks for the reply, I've changed to another channel that there is no other wifi using. I Will use this new configuration and if the problem persists I will come back here.

@Tony ok, so here are the updates: I've noticed now that the problem isn't only with the wifi, but also with the cable internet. Some websites seem not to work properly like Reddit, yet if I use the 4G it works fine. I've changed the DNS for primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4, even with the DNS provided by my internet host (primary 200.175.89.139 and secondary 200.175.5.139). I really have no idea what could be causing this issue.

Given how there does not look like issues with Wi-Fi interference I would recommend you contact your local TP-Link Support here: link
