Model: TL-PA7010P KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 3.2.4

I have 2 PA7010P (AV1000) connected I get 50Mb of speed between them. I would like more... but it's better than wifi. I am interested in adding 2 more nodes and wondering if I purchase the TL-PA9020P will I get a higher throughput between the 2 ports that have the TL-PA9020P and then the speed I have now for the ports that I connect the PA7010P to?

If I replaced the PA7010P with PA9020P and kept at just 2 nodes would I get more speed?

Should I just get 2 PA7010P as the speed of the network is as slow as its slowest node?

Thanks!

The entire network would set to the speed of the slowest device so everything would run as if they were AV1000 units.

Having additional units should help with the signal. With powerline, it really comes down to actually testing to know for sure, but you should get some improvement at the very least. This can be having all four active or just the 9020s. If you are going to have all four plugged in, make one of the 9020s wired to the router.

@Tony

So then to add the two extra nodes should I not spend the extra $50 and just get two more AV1000 as it is the same performance?
