Model: TL-WA855RE
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20190408 Rel. 66967

Windows 10

I have this extender and have gone through the steps multiple times. The lights are on saying I should have a good connection. Under Status it says

DHCP Server: Auto (On)

IP Address: 192.168.0.254

Type: Dynamic IP (Failed)

I have tried messing with this and changed the Obtain an IP address automatically to Use the following IP address and this did not work.

TL-WA855R

When I login to my Arris router and check for the devices connected I see this under the IP Address for the extender:

+ Status: Online
+ Configuration: DHCP
+ MAC Address: 1E:3B:F2:D6:0A:30
+ IPv4 Address: 192.168.0.254
+ Lease Time Remaining (IPv4): 0d 0h 0m 0s

I believe the issue is the Lease Time (none remaining) but I am unsure on how to fix this. I have spent hours trying but have had no luck. I've looked at article after article and haven't been able to fix it. Please help!!!

@zblanska

What you set the IP in the extender was the gateway also configured to be the IP of the router? As well as the DNS server?

If you were to configure the extender as an access point does that work? https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1143/
