Hi all,

I have a mesh network of 3 decos M5 and to be fair, it's a reasonably decent piece of equipment (not great though) and it works ok most of the time. Every now and then, devices that were working ok before, will drop off the network and struggle to get connected giving out a failed to obtain IP address.

I have seen this issue in the forum several times but it doesn't seem that a solution has been found yet or that tp-link has fixed it?

@MetalCoyote

If devices failed to grab an IP it would be best to first check the main Deco to see what the status of the LED is. If it is red, try swapping the main Deco with another. If just the satellite units are turning red, then the node needs to be moved closer to the main Deco.

Go to the "more" menu and select "Update Deco" to see if you are running the latest release which should be 1.4.7.

If the devices are having trouble with the roaming feature you could try disabling fast roaming as well.
