Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I recently purchased the Deco M9Plus (v2 HW version) and was going to update my firmware.  I see this can't be done through the app and requires a separate installed.  However, when I install and run the installer app M9Plus_2.0_upgrade_tool_v1.1.1_win32.exe it complains my password is incorrect.

I've tried updating my password a few times and connecting via wired and wirelessly with the same results.  Is there something I'm missing?  Shouldn't I be able to use the same credentials I use in the Deco app for Android that I would use in the FW updater utility?

Here's the error I get.

@MNMike

I would try on a different computer if possible, also make sure there is no security software running or VPN.

@Tony thanks for the quick reply!  I just ran the version you linked to and still get the same error.  Do you have any other suggestions?  I'd try a MacOS if I had one but unfortunately I just have Windows boxes...not sure if that would make a difference though.

If it helps the current version I have is 1.2.12 Build 20191014 Rel. 42025.

@Tony thanks for the help.  I ended up trying the older FW downloader utility on a different computer and was able to successfully update.

Thanks again!

Mike
