Model: Deco S4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.2

So I recently put my Deco system into access point mode after it was previously in router mode. Right now in AP mode it has its SSID visible aswell as the router it is plugged into's SSID. Is this what should happen? I imagined that in AP mode I would connect to my original wifi while it reconnects to the deco under the original wifi name without adding more SSIDs, so that my signal is boosted from my orginal router. Can anyone help?

@OpShrimpBoy

What would be recommended is to hide your router Wi-Fi and utilize the Deco Wi-Fi.

Even if you have the SSID names the same, the client device is probably differentiating the names by BSSID. That is why on a computer there will be multiple names where a cell phone would typically combine them.
