Archer AX50 wifi schedule OFF-ON bug report
Hi, it seems there is a bug regarding wifi radio schedule OFF-ON function.
Description of bug :
1) Wifi bands setting is "Smart connect"
2) I set a wifi "off" period between, lets say, 2:00am to 7:00am
3) The wifi radio at 2:00am correctly turns off.
4) At this point, i turn off router. (power off from back switch)
5) I power on router after the designated wifi ON time. eg after 7:00am. Lets say i power on router at 10:00am
6) The bug-> wifi radios stay off even if the wifi ON time (7:00am) has passed, and routers wifi radio should be ON, but wifi radio stays OFF.
7) Routers time settings are checked and found correct all the time.

In going off what @Archerc mentioned, if you turn on the router before 7am do the Wi-Fi turn on? What happens if you don't turn off the router at all does the schedule run? Maybe temporarily run an hour apart to test.

Thank you both for the answers.
If the router stays on, yes, wifi schedule function works as intended.
It seems there is a simple "trigger" On Off code line that justs executes at the specific time you set.
This means if you power off router during Wifi Off time and power on after Wifi On time router misses the "trigger" (cron job?) command and stays in state Wifi was before power out.
So even if router is power on during Wifi On time, Wifi stays Off.
@Tony maybe a small code should be running during power on router (during cold boot) that after setting the time (Ntp sync) must check the state of Wifi radios if Wifi Schedule is set.
If "curent time" >= "Wifi On time" Wifi should be turned On.
A simpler approach is after boot ("power on" not "soft reboot") Wifi radios should be always turned On.
I believe it is more crucial to have Wifi access after a power failure.

@Tony
Thank you. Archer AX50 is one of the best routers i ever had.
Tp Link has one of the best router support team i had to contact with.

Seemed like this bug has never been resolved since 2020 when this subject has been brought up. I'm on 1.0.11 Build 20210730 rel.54485 yet I'm still encountering it. I haven't been using this feature for a period of time as every morning, I will not be able to find my wifi signals as the AX50 fails to turn on the wireless after turning it off. Hope someone in tp-link seriously look into it than the customary sending it to technical side to look into it.
