My brand new AX50 is not getting the gigabit speeds that my ISP is pushing. I recently had 300Mbps speeds from my ISP but upgraded to their 1,000Mbps speed, but my internet has not improved. ISP customer support came out and, when bypassing the router, consistently got 900-1,000Mbps. They were unable to get those speeds via wifi or LAN using the router, which leads me to believe it is a router problem. I have turned off QOS, antivirus, and reset the internet settings, but the speed is still <300Mbps. My ethernet port shows a negotiated speed of 1,000Mbps Full Duplex, and the firmware is up to date. My old Asus AC router was able to get the full 1,000Mbps offered, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Where you ever using the QOS feature?  If so what we would recomend is 1.  disable the QOS, 2. Reboot the router, if that does not increase the speed 3. I would suggest to reach out to support at support.usa@tp-link.com and mention this thread as we may need to look into a replacement so we can test that specific unit locally.  I say to do this through email because it will require getting personal infromation you do not normally want to provide publically.

Hello, Late answer.

It could be that your settings in your Ethernet adapter in windows is limited. Go to Speed & Duplex and check your settings to make sure they are set to 1GBs or higher.
