Model: Archer A6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.7 build 20201010 Rel.49458

I Have 2 SSID, Guest Wifi and Staff Wifi, in same network 192.168.10.0/24, i have problem why Guest user still can access Staff wifi, even Guest wifi setting already unchecked like picture below.

Guest User can ping, access network shares and access via web for local server 192.168.10.2 using cable, is there any miss configuration ??

@Djaycenter

What should be happening is any user connected to the guest will be on a different VLAN.

Since having the issue have you tried enabling the features, saving it, then disabling it, saving it, to see if something was bugged?

Other things I would try would be to upload the latest firmware again, and also factory reset the router.

Also, for those guest devices, make sure the main wireless network is forgotten if it has connected to the main network before, or it may be automatically jumping over without you knowing.

@Tony

There is no another vlan, i cannot see TPlink Archer V6 support for create Vlan, if this support i will create vlan for guest and create gateway for each wifi (Staff and Guest) in the firewall and shouldbe case closed.

Yes i has try to enable and disable for option "Allow guest to access my local network" case still same, do you know latest firmware for this device ?

and I have 2 laptop, the first one already connected to "Staff wifi" and mapping  shared File to server as drive Z, when i try to connected to "Guest wifi"  i still can access maaping folder (in my understanding shoudbe cannot access, but because in this case mapping folder password already remember by laptop 1, so it still can access, but there is no restriction access from Guest Wifi)

and for second laptop is brand new laptop not yet connected to any network, so first i connected to "Guest Wifi" and try to access mapping folder in server, and the result is i can access mapping folder, is this bug ?

Below is my topology :

@Djaycenter

Your going out of the WAN port of the A6 so the router can not restrict what the guest network device goes to. No different than wanting the guest Wi-Fi to not access Google.com while you want the staff Wi-Fi to access Google.com.

If you want the router to restrict guest devices from accessing the Server, you need to place the server on the LAN of the A6.

If you want to keep your topology what you need is an AP that can assign VLANs to tag it, then have another networking device allow/deny access based on that.

So I don't think the A6 will work in this case.

Thank you your reply, so do you mean i need change the topology ? how about if i changed like below, is this working ?

can i change the topology like above, all devices in the same network 192.168.10.0/24 ?  and should i connected server directly to port on AP not on switch to prevent guest access to the server (cable is option2 )

Thank you.

You would do option 2, but need the A6 in router mode. If you have the A6 in AP Mode, then the guest network wouldn't block anything even with the server connected to the A6.
