Hardware Version:

I have an existing Sky fibre connection (older sky not SkyQ)

I have an existing AV500 kit (2 extenders and plugged into Sky router) - TL-WPA4220

Wifi and wired connections are fine on both AV500 extenders.

I've extended the range of the network with 2 TL-PA7017P, accepting that they will run at the lower speed

For these the wired connection works fine, but they never keep wifi running.

I have updated (where possible) all extenders, but the TP Link Utility shows PLC 1000MBs but no wifi connection. The older units show both 500MBs and 300mbps wifi.

I have configured the sky router and each AV500 extender on different channels 4/8/12 and each has a different SSID. I can connect to each one fine.

Q) I can access web pages for the AV500s but seemingly nothing for the AV1000s - how can I do this?

Q) Why aren't I getting wifi on the AV1000s?

Of your multiple powerline adapters, only one needs to be wired to the router, the rest would be placed around your residence. I think you mentioned two are wired to the router? if so disconnect the second adapter, and reboot the one left wired to the router.

The wireless powerline adapter may not be getting an IP from the main powerline adapter (wired to router). I would do a factory default on the wireless adapter to see if that helps it get an IP address.

Only the main extender (the one that came with the AV500s) plugged into the router.

The others (2 x AV500 externders and 2xAV1000) are distributed around the house.

Is there a way to access the AV1000s as I can with the AV500s via a web admin? The TP link utility is a bit simplistic.

Not if the AV1000's are wired only.

There is also the tpPLC smartphone app you can try as well, but to get a GUI like the 4220, you would use a wireless powerline adapter like the TL-WPA7510.

TL-PA7017P is a wired only model. You should not expect any wifi from them.
