Model: Archer A20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20201023 rel.69987(5553)

I have an AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router with a USB external hard drive formatted to exFAT. On my PC there is no issues writing to the hard drive. However I can not add or create new files on the hard drive when it is connected to the router and accessed through wifi.

@LocalHuman

Most routers can't handle some disk format's.

On my A20 my drive is NTFS, works fine.

This TP-Link FAQ should help you set it up, https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1527/
