So i have to ask. Any reason why I am not able to get advertised speeds? My understanding the Hertz range on this device is 80Htz? 

Trying to get advertised speeds of 2402 Mbps on 5G, but I am only getting half for link speed. Something tells me it has something to do with this device being restricted to 80 Htz AND I have no way to change this setting. 

 

Another device (router) in EXACT environment gets 2402 Mbps.

@Tony We have a problem. Device only supports 80Htz with NO OPTION for me to change to 160Htz. Making the device IMPOSSIBLE to achieve 2402 advertised link speed. How many times do I have to be duped by TP Link in one year?

No one is being duped, the issue is understanding why you are getting the link speed.

 

The AX50 has 160 MHz support so that means when connecting to the router using 2x2 MIMO you get 2400 Mbps.

 

When you connect to the Deco X60, again you connect using 2x2 MIMO, and that gives 1200 Mbps. However, if you were to connect using 4x4 MIMO then you get your 2400 Mbps.

Heres the issue.

I have the Intel AX201 wireless card. Supports 160Htz on 2x2. When connected to the Archer AX50 i get the 2402 link speed.

When connected to the Deco X60, Deco is only sending out 80Htz with NO option to force 160Htz. In fact tech support told me that the device can only do 80Htz. 

 

Do you see my frustration here?

I followed up with support and they did mention the Deco X90/X5700 does have 160 MHz support. So when you connect your wireless card to that, you should see the link speed you do with the AX50 via 160 MHz.

@Tony Yuo get one answer and I get another. Why is that? Just sad. Face it. Another product that is a flat out flase advertising. Again.... Im done with the joke company. One of these days someone is going to sue TP-Link.Product is returned and Im done. Bought my ASUS spent a few more bucks but get exactly what I wanted as advertised. Shame i spend a lot of money on your products over the years, but 2 large blops and im done.
