QoS on Powerline menu...what's the difference?

Model: TL-WPA7510 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello everybody,

I'm asking what might be a pretty dumb question but: what's the actual difference between the 4 setting of the QoS submenu on a Powerline?

On my TL-WPA7517 I get Internet, Online Gaming, Audio&Video and Voice over IP.

While I understand the broader aim of this, I would like to fully get what are the tradeoffs of each of them in order to make an educated guess for my main usage.

Thank you in advance,

@Deimos

Here is a FAQ we have regarding QoS: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1613/

Should there be network congestion due to multiple devices QoS will prioritize the selected category data through the powerline network.

@Tony thank you. So, if I understand correctly, it's simply a prioritization in case of multiple connections and not a modulation of the connection itself to favour some characteristics (like a lower ping for Online Gaming for example)?

@Deimos

Correct, it would come into play with multiple connections happening. If you only had one computer connected and gaming there really wouldn't be anything being prioritized.
