I have a Deco M3.

It keeps losing internet connections.

It seems like it is more stable without the extenders?

Can I use the Deco M3 without the extenders / clients??

If so, How far will the internet reach?

So far it seems to be working in my 1400 sq foot one story home!!!!!

Only tried it last night for a bit.

Thanks,

Nanci L. Starcher

@NStarche

If you have the Deco M3, you should have one Deco M4R (cylinder shape), and two Deco M3W (little adapters).

You can have the Deco M4R wired to your modem, and the Deco will still operate fine.

With just the M4, you could be looking at around 1500 to 1800 sq. ft. coverage. In that, it is an estimate as every environment is different so some will extend further than others.

If you still continue to get the network drops, look at the LED light. If you see it turn red, try changing the Ethernet cable that goes from the Deco to the modem, and also switch the Ethernet port that is being used on the Deco.
