@TallTom

Yes, it has. Having owned both Netgear and TP-Link routers, Netgear seems to offer f/w upgrades far more times than TP-Link does for a router. Never understood why? Netgear always listed as an item 'Security Upgrades'. I'll assume that the Netgear code is 'buggy' whereas TP-Link's is not?

There are a few places to look for vulnerabilities on the web:

https://stack.watch/product/tp-link/

https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvekey.cgi?keyword=tp-link

https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-11936/Tp-link.html

https://www.tp-link.com/us/press/security-advisory/

https://vuldb.com/?vendor.tp-link

https://routersecurity.org/index.php

None of those above indicate a Security problem in the A20.

There are only 2 other reasons to release new F/W that I can think of?

  1. Fix a broken function.
  2. Add or update a Router Feature.

Netgear has another reason, DELETE a feature.

Is something 'broke' that you need new f/w?

Personally, I have mixed feeling about not getting new F/W? Is the present one OK or is the vendor dropping support 'quietly'?
