Archer T3U Slow DL Speed
Hello,
My Archer T3U is providing speeds of 40-70 Mbps on a 5 ghz connection. Looking for any information on how to correct it. I am connected through a USB 3.1.
Driver version 1030.38.712.2019
I am also getting 300 mbps on my iPhone through this same WiFi in the same spot.

that adapter has an antenna configuration of 2x2 and from your image has a link rate of 585 Mbps. That is indicating that the adapter is communticating with the router at a rate of 585 Mbps. You should deffiantly be seeing speeds beyond 70 Mbps on the internet. So what I would be looking at is possible point of interference or congestion.
Frist way to do this is move closer to the router and test your speeds again. Then move further away and retest. Repeat until you are back where you started, noting each time you see a speed drop.
Second change the channel you are currently using. Typcially i recommend for 5 GHZ the upper 4 channels available. Then test at the orginal position agian. Let me know the results.
When test it is recommend to run the speed test 3 times in each location and to the same server to get an average speed test result.

@Carl Thank you for the response. I noticed slight differences as I moved closer to the router (to be expected) but I am still not seeing the speeds I get on other devices. I can reach 200 mbps on my phone whereas my desktop still sits in the 40-70 range. I changed the channel as well which actually caused a drop in speed.
The connection keeps dropping as well only on this adapter. My laptop with wifi built in is not disconnecting and they are in the same room.

since the adapter is the only device you have currently showing this concern and your on the latest driver I would lean toward a potential replacement. I would suggest reaching out to support at support.usa@tp-link.com or 866-225-8139 and working with an agent to confrim and begin the RMA process.
