My internet light will randomly go orange for like 5 seconds then start working again. So any  online video game I play, I lag out the whole game. I just got the router today too so I don't know what's wrong with it.

I'd check with your ISP to have an intrusive line test ran.  If its cosntanlty happening there may be errors on the line that need to be corrected.
