RE500X Extender Drops 2.4GHZ network
Good Afternoon:
I recently purchased a TP-Link AX3000 router and a RE500X range extender. I have enabled the access control list (whitelist) on the router and entered the MAC addresses for all my devices and the RE500X range extenders' 5G and 2.4 GHZ networks. The router's network map will show the 5G network as connected, but does not list the 2.4GHZ network at all, even though it is up and connected with clients. If the router is rebooted or the RE500X loses power, the RE500X 2.4GHZ network will not re-connect and the led is out. The only way I have found to correct this is to go into the router turn off the access control list, unplug the RE500X range extender, let it connect and then turn on the access control list. This works until the next time the router reboots or there's a power loss for the range extender.
I believe this is a technical flaw and it needs a workaround other than disabling the whitelist and power cycling the extender.
In closing any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
