I have an archer a9 1900  as my primary and just moved an ax

1500 to the house is there a way to set one up as a range extender and use same network names so when moving throughout the house everything is connected to same ssid?

  @Mikeb0208 You would have to set one up as an Access Point and have a physical connection between the two.  You can use the same SSID as most newer mobile devices will automatically connect to the strongest know network available.  I choose not to go that route just so I know what device I connect to.

 

Some routers do have a range extender option, but you will not get as good performace as the other since the range extender has to perform "double duty" on radio transmissions for clients connected to it.  As a range extender, the ethernet backhaul frees the radio time up from the AP to router comms.
