A New Firmware has been released for the Archer AX55 V1 and V1.6

The Update brings many features you may have seen in testing across the forum, such as Wireguard VPN Compatability, IoT Networking, and improved configuration options. You may update the firmware through your Tether App or by downloading the firmware from your product page and upgrading manually through the WebUI.

This firmware contains important updates for HomeShield Pro, and we strongly recommend all HomeShield Pro users to upgrade to this firmware.

New Features/Enhancements:

1. Added Wireguard VPN feature;
2. Added Advanced features into AP mode;
3. Added flow control switch;
4. Added IoT network feature;
5. Supported setting the local DNS server as the main DNS server;
6. Optimized VPN client feature;
7. Optimized web UI of some advanced functions;
8. Improved the accuracy of Client Type Identification in the offline state;
9. Enhancing the Parental Control feature to support blocking traffic in more scenarios.

Bug Fixes:

1. Fixed the bug that caused Apple devices to be recognized as "unknown" devices at times;
2. Fixed some bugs related to the HomeShield feature, which enhances the stability and reliability of the network security function.

NOTE: 

1. This firmware cannot be degraded to the previous version;
2. To fully utilize all HomeShield Pro features, we recommend that you download and install the latest version of the Tether app on your mobile device.
