Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 20221128 rel.45807(5553)

My router notified me of the newest firmware 1.3.3 Build 20230719 rel.78410. I noticed that the firmware has not been posted to the tplink website understanding that this is normal and could take a few weeks to post. However, after updating, my normally stable devices like my 10 echo dots started disconnecting very frequently. Did a total reset of the router and noticed the same behavior. Unplugging and re-plugging the devices did not help. Also, moving the devices to different areas of the house made no difference either. After monitoring for a day or so, the disconnecting was noticeable as the devices would take up to 3-5 seconds to respond when normally they were instantaneous. Checking the connection page on the router did show a disconnect between the router and the device because the device's duration was changed to 0. None of the devices were stable past 30 minutes. The one thing I did not check was whether the devices were ping ponging between the 2 5ghz channels. I downgraded to 1.3.2, reset the router, and have had no issues at all.  All devices are now 3 days with no disconnects and no issues with delay.

  @Prof

Hi, thank you very much for posting on TP-Link Community.

If you would like to try some troubleshooting with us, could you please updating to the 1.3.3 firmware again and help to confirm the following information?

1. Does  2.4G and 5G WiFi both have the disconnecting issue?

2. Usually all client devices disconnect at the same time, or they disconnect at different times randomly?

3. How many client devices are usually connected to the router, and what they are?

4. Please turn off Smart Connect, then try changing WiFi channel and channel width for both 2.4G and 5G WiFi, then check if the wireless connections will be more stable.

  @Sunshine You guys are unreal.   I point out issues with my router just 3 weeks ago (documented below 2 months ago) ,and I am told there are no current plans for firmware update.  Then low and behold a week later, you release this "new" firmware and now when folks have further problems, you ask them ( @Prof ) to please "test for them"?   What kind of shotty support is this?

Your products used to be TOP TIER, but then suddenly, you are putting out firmware which is full of bugs because you refuse for customers to test it before you release it.

Do you know how I fixed my own issue, to which NO ONE ever responded?

Disconnects every 30 days with AX11000

I downgraded back to: Archer AX11000(US)_V1.6_220221

And everything works.  I would rather have stability than random disconnects.  And changing WIFI channels ranges is not a solution.    And I already had SmartShare disabled and so on.  It's like parrots reading a script!

Really, really disappointed!

So is there a new firmware or not?

I keep getting a notification to update, when I go to the router firmware section to manually download it, the new firmware (1.3.3 Build 20230719 rel.78410) does not show.

why is this so unorganized for tplink?

if anything happens to my router now, tplink will be responsible for screwing it up

  @Prof it figures... I just don't get why every single time does a firmware update that it all just craps out! Why is it that we all have to be so scared to update our routers because every firmware there's an issue whether deals with VPN or connection of our own devices I mean isn't this been tested or is it just made on the fly and you know if there's any bugs in it, the consumers will tell technical support ? isn't this been tested or is it just made on the fly and you know if there's any bugs in it, the consumers will tell technical support

wondering if i should go from

1.3.2 Build 20221128 rel.45807(5553)

to

1.3.3 Build 20230719 rel.78410

does anyone know what they changed? why upgrade?

the "release notes" in the WiFi GUI says:

Note:

Optimized system stability;

Enhanced system security;

Fixed some UI bugs.

  @Prof the new firmware for me is quite bad, disconnects are more frequent and the router is unresponsive too, same symptoms as after 1.3.0 firmware. I remember being told to use 2 routers to fix this problem...

I'm going back to the beta firmware  1.3.1 Build 20220831 rel.77448(4555)
