Also, I turned off auto updates for the firmware.

Having the same or very similar issues after upgrade. Looks to be DHCP related based on logs. I've now reset my device fully to see if it helps.

TP-Link, I recommend that you load up a v1.0 AX55 and troubleshoot...this firmware is BAD. Something is up with DHCP. I will attempt to roll things back, but just factory reset to see if that helps in this case and will update my post if it does.

  @AdamPfromMN

I did a factory reset also and the problem returned. Downgraded to previous firmware and no problems at all.

Terrible right? They also had a buggy firmware in May that took many offline, caused them to essentially lock up after 12-36 hours of runtime.

I looked into doing a factory reset and it looks like all that does is set the configuration files back to factory. Doesn't do anything to the firmware.

  @AnnetteT correct. Factory reset doesn't take it to version it came with.
You have to downgrade the version to fix this issue. I did it just after posting the issue here and it worked fine. Process is quite simple.
1. Download the last firmware version from this site of TP-link - make sure to choose the correct version of router (mine is 1.6) while downloading the firmware

2. Unzip the content

3. Connect to your router via Ethernet (hardwire) and login by URL 192.168.0.1

4. Go to Advacned -> System -> Firemware Upgrade and under Local Update, browse the bin file and click Update. It takes couple minutes.

I realized that automatic update was ON, which I have turned off now.

This is really bad of TPLINK that they released a buggy firmware without testing it properly.

  @minion-me

I appreciate all of you replying to my post.

It seems that one of the major issues with this new firmware release is that there is a problem with

how the AX55's DCHP server manages assigning IP addresses to network devices.

As an experiment before downgrading the firmware, I changed the default DHCP Address Lease Time

from 120 minutes to 2880 minutes (48 hours maximum allowed), and the problem with disconnects, and

failure to connect/reconnect new wireless devices, went away.

Everything has been completely stable so far for the past 14 hours. Will the problem return in 48 hours?

I don't know. But right now I can connect, disconnect, and reconnect wireless devices without any

problems. So, it is interesting.

I will keep you posted. Thanks again
