Bogus firmware update...
The notice of a firmware update keeps showing up for my BE9300 (1.0.5 Build 20231214 rel.69790), after updating, the router will not keep a connectin with my provider. When I roll back to the previous version (1.0.4 Build 20231020 rel.52379(5553), everything is fine.
After a discussion with my ISP, I was told TP-Link has experienced hacks on their firmware server in the past, and this might be my problem. When I tried to verify the v1.0.5 firmware file on the TPL download server, I couldn't find it, which lends credence to this issue.
How about it - is that what is going on here?

I confirmed earlier that none of my settings were affected by the update. Some background... It's a fiber connection. Following the update, if I reset the box that translates the fiber to ethernet, I get a connection for a couple minutes, and then it goes down. The only thing I get in the logs is:
2024-01-10 16:47:29 Remote Management INFO [25083] Service stop
2023-10-20 00:00:19 Remote Management INFO [9444] Service stop
2023-10-20 00:00:01 Remote Management INFO [1960] Service stop
I don't know if there is a debug level in the logs, which would probably help out.
Also, I'm using a statis IP from my provider. I've tried using using DHCP from provider (as suggested by ISP), it fails in the same way.
The bottom line is that with the 1.0.4 firmware, the connection is stable. With 1.0.5 it is not.

@skidmarx same issue as you. i have been trying to figure out why i cant hold a wired connection anymore, this makes more sense that it was firmware update. i had to switch to an old router to confirm (went back to my old asus and no issues), its definately the 1.0.5 Build 20231214 rel.69790 firmware or the BE9300 router itself, something is not working the way it used to. just started to randomly break.
honeslty, i havent been impressed with tp-link firmware, had asus before and it was sooo much more stable, consistently.

I worked with TP-Link Support, and we arrived at this:
I was able to use the v1.0.5 firmware after I disabled EasyMesh in the Router Configuration app. I don't need a wireless extender, and it never struck me to check that. I suspect it was Enabled when I was running v1.0.4, but the Firmware didn't care.
