Archer AX1500 (AX12) resets wifi settings to default
My Archer AX12 (couple of months old) on the latest firmware is resetting the wifi settings to default after a power outage (or maybe even randomly can't be 100% sure).
The manual local IP settings (using it in AP mode) and menu password do not reset.
I have to reconfigure it to Smart mode, SSID name, etc and then it works as it should. There is an AX55 also in the same network as AP at the other side of the house (living room).
Is there a bad flash chip inside or a failing battery that helps retain the settings? I hope I won't have to return it and an update fixes it as I do not have time to waste with defective products.

Your current FW release was meant to resolve an issue with the AX12 in AP mode - details.
You could try to reset the AX12 to its factory defaults and re-configure from scratch then check if there's any improvement.

yes I thought so too but unfortunately I have to reconfigure the router very often.
I will try a total reset and see what happens - I will report back to this thread.
thank you for your reply.

For me a hard reset using the button (after updating to latest firmware) seems to have solved it. Still testing.

Do a factory reset of the updated AX12 to its factory defaults and re-configure from scratch - then check if there's any improvement.
