I am confused is the DECO supposed to be connected to my verizon router? Or is supposed to be connected directly to the wall by ethernet? If so I will not have all the plugs that includes a cable plug on my verizon router. Please advise.

Deco units can work either in router mode or in AP mode - here's the difference.

AP mode typical scenario is described here.

Here's how to use Deco with your existing router.
