I have a managed switch attached downstream to my XE75 router.  I can see all of the devices attached to the switch in the client list, but not the switch itself.  It's not really a big deal, I just like to have everything buttoned up.

  @DaddyMac

If the switch does not communicate with the Deco (to obtain an IP address) and does not communicate with Internet, the Deco probably does not receive any traffic generated by the switch, hence is not aware that the switch exists.

In other words, the switch is not a client of the Deco.

  @DaddyMac

Does the XE75 Deco run in Router mode or in Access Point mode?

Does the switch obtain its IP address by DHCP?

Does the switch communicate with Internet?

It is possible that the switch does not generate traffic sent to the Deco, hence the Deco is not aware of the presence of the switch.

If you ping the Deco from the switch, the Deco will perhaps discover the switch at that time.

  @DaddyMac

Thanks,

The XE75 is in Router mode

The IP is static

I don't think the switch needs to connect to the internet.

The periferals connected to the switch ports do connect to the internet.

  @yves_b

That makes sense.  I can make it a dynamic address instead of static and reserve the address so I don't have to find it when I want to log in..
