Firmware Version: 1.2.7

I am having terrible times with the device and Google Fiber.  This morning there was no connection so I did all the following without any positive results:

1) power cycled the Deco -- no joy

2) Power cycled the GF line drop (with the Deco still powered on and connected)

3) Power cycled the GF line drop (with the Deco powered off), connected the ethernet cable, and turned the Deco power back on.

In between tests, I plugged the ethernet cable from the GF drop into my laptop to confirm GF was still active. This is not a GF problem.

I'm running out of ideas on what to do.  I'd do a factory reset and start all over fresh with the Deco, but I'm worried that if I do that and the Deco doesn't pick up the ethernet signal then I'll be really screwed -- a reset Deco that I can't communicate with at all.

Ideas on how I should proceed?

@BlueGrits I decided to risk resetting the Deco.  I have wifi back, but my wifi speed is about half of what it was and I still have to get my satellite Deco working ( I just noticed it was red and power cycled it, but apparently that's just not enough.)  I guess I should also do all the updates that are do for the Deco since it's maybe 2 years old.

1.2.7 looks like the latest firmware version. If you reset the primary Deco I believe you need to reset the node Deco and then add it back to the mesh. To set up a new/hard/factory reset Deco unit you must be connected to it's WiFi network directly. (That's how you'd usually set a new one up out of the box). This can be complicated if you have other manufacturer WiFi nearby...

The connection seems to be based on whether you were provided a model GFRG300 or not. If not then you can put the Deco directly to the "Fiber Jack". If yes then you need to set the GFRG300 to Bridge Mode and connect the Deco to that: https://support.google.com/fiber/answer/2446100?hl=en#zippy=%2Cfind-your-fiber-jack-and-connect-it-to-power%2Cconnect-your-fiber-jack-to-your-router%2Chow-to-install-your-router-for-gfiber-wi-fi-router-customers
