@markb1 Well since we don;t know what hardware you are using, it's hard to give you an answer.  Why do you think you need to change your Wifi stuff?  Just because you change mobile providers, doesn't mean you have to change your wifi.

My new provider, Consumer Cellular, told me that transferring my service from Xfinity would be a lot more trouble if I did not reset my wifi name and password.  They did not tell me why this was so.

My router is a TP-Link A8 Ver 1.8.  My computer is a Dell Inspiron 3880.  Does this help?

  @markb1 Should just be able to logon to the router from the computer or use the Tether app from your phone and change it and the settings page.
