I mean, I connected my router to my spectrum modem I’m only getting kilobytes per second

Need a bit more info.

 

Is it the wired speed or the wifi speed? 
 

was it faster before or  is this a new setup?

 

what speeds when connected to the modem vs when connected to the router.

 

is the modem a gateway and if so is it in bridge mode and the router in router mode?
