Deco M5 slower than Apple Airport Extreme
Model :
Hardware Version : 1
Firmware Version : 1.1.1
ISP :
On my internal lan, the Deco M5 is about 1/3 the speed of my old Apple Airport Extreme
Transfer file from one computer to another, both computers connected to the Deco M5 using WiFi. I get about 60 Mbits/sec download speed. When I unplug the Deco and plug in the Apple Airport Extreme I get about 170 Mbits/sec . Nether situation is using the Internet or my DSL modem. This is just one computer transferring files to another computer on the wifi network.
Both of my computers are macs. One desktop, one laptop. I used a "free" program "Lan Speed Test (Lite)" to run the test. I don't think the numbers reported need to be at that accurate, the difference is what I am considered about. 60 vs 170 That is a lot of differences.
