@Don.M I went ahead and shut both bands off on the gateway... There is one problem though, my step-dad has an older laptop with win7...it can detect the Deco's wifi but can't connect to it, no idea...

I was told that if you use a router as an Access Point, that you don't need the wifi turned on from that device, cause right now I have 2 networks, one from the Deco, and one from my router/gateway....

Hi I've been using the W3600 as an AP, but wanted to try it out as a wireless router. I cant figure out how to change the channels and bandwidth though...was hoping this would a better router to use...
