TP-Link firmware doesn't allow for changing channels or bandwidth on any of their mesh systems.
People have been asking for years, so far nothing and I don't think it will change,

oh lordy...i guess ill put them back to AP if it comes down to it...only reason i got them was to try and get a better signal in my townhouse, but i dont like Arris routere to begin with. Anyways, I didnt pay attention when i got them, but are they sold with the intent of being a router? or access point, or both?

Yeah I had it as AP before, switched back to it a bit ago. I'm not sure if i'm configuring everything correctly or not...i read it's best if i have my 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands with the same SSID and password...does that go for the settings on the W3600 as well? Oh and the Deco channels are different from my gateway's channels...can thast cause problems

Hi, different brands could not be used together to create the Mesh network.
So most of the time, if there is a main router already, it is suggested to turn off the main router’s wireless network and set up Deco as an access point to take over all the wireless connections.
