@Joseph-TP as I had explained earlier, I tried loading the firmware from the link and my router refused that file you had suggested as it said a bad .bin file.

@WKMAN why do you think I asked if this router has been EOL'd (end of life) because the v2.xx router has seen firmware updates and the v1.6 seems to have fallen off the earth to the recycle bin.
